I was a fan of El-Hazard since the re-releasing of the first OAV series. The humor, action, and romance of the series has captivated me, and quiet does to this day (Though El-Hazard 2 was somewhat disappointing, I’ll admit, it had its fine points) . And now this third TV series is truly a superior successor in the continuing adventures of Makoto and the gang (especially with a recent priestess of water taking over for Miz, and she is REALLY cute to boot!) . I, myself, can’t wait to secure all of this series; to me, it shines as brightly as the modern (though with only a slightly lower quality of animation from the unique) . And as previously stated, if you ARE an anime neophyte, recognize the first and second series, and then be ABSOULUTELY positive to win this one. I guarantee, neophyte or not, you won’t regret it!
I simply adored the first OAV series, but was EXTREMELY dissapointed with OAV2. But this series has, honestly, restored my faith in the indicate (so far) . All the characters are benefit, along with some original faces; the terrific Pioneer dubbing is up to run…in fact, I’ll go as far as to say that this is THE best dub yet.
